PROFILE:

Bayshore Community Health Services is a hospital-based system of organizations devoted to promoting an environment of good health and well being for the people of the communities it serves. The 37-acre spacious Holmdel campus and satellite facilities in Monmouth County has 225 beds, an 11-bed ventilator unit, and serves an area with a population of 600,000. Bayshore is a modern acute-care facility that offers a full range of services including emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic and mental health counseling.

EXISTING SET UP:

PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials Rapid ver 5.1.

BUSINESS PROPOSITION & THE CHALLENGE:

To upgrade the above to version 7.0

  1. Bayshore's 5.1 implementation was verticalized for healthcare and highly customized.
  2. Foundation was selected as their partner to help complete the HRMS and Financials upgrade from 5.1 to 7.0 on an aggressive schedule. The elapsed time to complete the upgrades for both applications (a total of 5 modules) was just 50 workdays.

Foundation provided project management and direction, completed a 2-phased Upgrade/Compare study, and provided technical consultants to complete the upgrade steps efficiently and correctly. During the upgrade, Bayshore added consolidation of business units, bank reconciliation, departmental security, leave accrual and customized timecard entry.

Customer benefits:

Foundation used its proprietary `Go Live' methodology to ensure success. For new functionality, significant value was realized using business processes inherent in the PeopleSoft product rather than by customizing them to suit existing business practices.
